Marcus Santos is a collaborator and an honored instructor for Timbeleza, graciously passing down the music of Brazilian traditions.  Please check out his site.

A contemporary percussionist and educator, Marcus is a native of Salvador city in Bahia, Brazil. Having been raised in the uniquely rich African-influenced culture of Bahia, Marcus has passionately committed his life to the study, preservation and teaching of Afro-Brazilian music and heritage.

Marcus lives in Boston, MA currently, and works with various Samba schools around the country, including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Boston, and Wyoming.  Marcus does not regularly appear with Timbeleza, but we are working towards having performances with him, as well.
